Fracture Fashionz began in 2014 when my oldest daughter broke her arm in a soccer tournament and required surgery. She was defending the goal, but got knocked down by the opposing team. She left the field and calmly said that she couldn't move her arm. We left the game and went to the local hospital where they revealed that she had broken her humerus in half! She was transferred by ambulance to a hospital closer to home that specialized in pediatrics where she had surgery to put 2 pins in. She spent 3 days in the hospital, and then was sent home with a boring, one-size-fits-all, blood stained, hospital arm sling. It was just days before her 13th birthday, and she was so depressed about the situation since she had to cancel (postpone) her party. We scoured the internet to find a fashionable arm sling, but could not find any that suited her, so we decided to make our own!

I broke my arm and shoulder prior to a family wedding and was determined to not have to wear the boring but necessary hospital issued sling. I found Fracture Fashionz on Etsy and immediately ordered the most gorgeous sling to match my 2 outfits for the wedding and rehearsal dinner. I had never seen this support strap until I found the Fracture Fashionz site…I was looking for ‘cute slings’, and, wow, did I find them! I ordered slings, but I also ordered this support strap. I ordered it in my favorite color, purple, and the small strap that helps with the wrist came in two beautiful patterns!…so it’s reversible! I’m making myself use this strap, at times, to help my nerves recover…it is helping me try to use my fingers and hand a lot more than my slings. I love my new slings that I received, but this strap is a great idea for using my arm more while I try to beat my paralysis. Thank you for the help, and thank you for lifting my spirits!!
My new slings are absolutely amazing!! They are not only very well made but have also lifted my spirits! And, boy, I sure needed that. I am so thrilled with my new sling bling! I don’t know how you do it, but these could not have been made better…everything is such high quality! Thank you! The black sling that I’ve worn for the last 3 1/2 years is taking a well deserved rest.
It might as well be pretty and get many compliments! The fit is perfect - I followed the measurement instructions exactly. My only note is the flowers ( which are beautifull) are attached to netting which is what surrounds the sling and I have to remember to be careful with the Velcro or it gets caught and I’m afraid it will rip.

This sling was perfect for an NYE concert with my broken wing. I loved the built in pocket to keep my phone, cards, and lipstick. It is super cute! It runs a little big so make sure you measure correctly. The UPS didn't deliver it on time, but she mailed it on time. Great communication from the seller.
