Sling Sizing:

To determine sizing, measure from the tip of your elbow to your knuckle, or from the tip of the elbow of the cast to the end of the cast on your hand, in inches.

ESW (Elbow-Shoulder-Wrist) SIZING:

Please give me this length in the comments section of your order. Whenever possible, please also indicate the height of the person and if they are wearing a cast or not.

IF YOU HAVE A SLING, please position it where it is comfortable, take it off and measure from the BASE of the elbow, around the strap, to the BOTTOM of the wrist area. Do not measure the strap only. Since you have a sling, please take this opportunity to verify that the sling ordered is comparable to the length of your current sling.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SLING, take the left hand and grab the right elbow (or vice versa). Next measure from the base of the left elbow - over the shoulder around the neck- to the base of the left hand (that is on the right elbow). Pictures of measurement styles are in the picture gallery of each sling. The strap will be adjustable, but I like to get it as close as possible. If you aren't able to give me these measurements, I will send you an average size strap for the size sling that you order indicated below.

* These sizes can vary drastically (depending on build of the person and if they are wearing a cast or not), so please verify by measurement above! If your ESW measurement is near the cusp of the average measurement (i.e. sling size Medium, yet your ESW measures 41") just let me know in the comments of the order and I can adjust the range on your sling from 40"-44".

** If you have a current sling and you like the way that fits, use that measurement for sling size and strap size. Please see measurement examples in the picture gallery above. Age categories listed next to the sizes are just recommendations for a person with NO cast. Please measure to get an accurate size.

FOR TRADITIONAL SLINGS: If you have a cast or are in doubt, it might be best to go one size up. It is always better to go bigger for additional support, than smaller.

Glad I added it on. My arm moves less and it cinches in my waist a bit.

I’m so glad I got this sling. Ordering with the add ons was very straight forward once I read the descriptions. I got the quick release strap, the waist strap and the zipper pocket.
I’ve never broken a bone before but the hospital sling that the ER staff gives you is so uncomfortable. As soon as I got this one and put it on I promptly fell asleep on the couch. It’s a much improved healing experience. My arm is more secure and gets jostled a lot less with the waist strap. I was agonizing over what plain color to get but then this Swan fabric came up. It’s soft, smooth, a little shiny like satin should be.
Definitely make sure to turn up the brightness and put the real color tone on. I forgot and thought the color was way lighter than expected. It works out fine.
